EODSA - ID Card Ordering Procedure

May 2022 Update

As we get closer to the start of the season, ID cards will no longer be mailed. You can still place an order and pick up cards at the RA Centre.

February 2022 update

DO NOT REQUEST A PRINTED ID CARD unless you are playing OPDL or attending a tournament where the tournament host requires them.

If that is your situation, please email operations@eodsa.ca to request your team cards for a tournament.

By applying for an ID card, you are confirming that you take responsibility for having read the instructions. Any card declined because of failure to follow instructions will not be refunded.

1. Do I need an ID Card?

Players playing U12 and under do NOT need an ID card.

2. When can I get an ID Card?

Your Club must have added you to the Ontario Soccer OSCAR database before you can request a card. This is different from you registering with your Club - it is an additional step your Club must take.

You must use our online option to order a digital card. Plastic cards are no longer being provided.

3. Do I have to have my ID Card before I register?

No - You Must register with a club before you can get a player card from the EODSA. You do not need a player card to register with a club.

4. What is the ID Card used for?

The ID Card is used to prove that you are the player that is written on the game sheet and on the Team Roster. Your digital ID Card MUST be available at every soccer game in order to play.

5. When does the ID Card expire?

The ID Card is valid for 3 years for players under 18 and 5 years for players 18 and over. It will expire at the end of your birth month. The expiry date is located on the card under the photo. The first date in the format MM-YYYY indicates when the card was issued. The second date in the format MM-YYYY indicates the month and year the card expires. It is not valid after that month. If your ID Card is expired, you are not eligible to play.

6. How much does an ID Card cost?

Digital ID cards cost $6.00.  If a team is entering a tournament and requires printed cards, the cost is $10.50 per card.

7. When does it become effective?

The ID Card is effective as soon as it has been issued.

8. Uploading a picture

After you have filled in the required information, you will be asked to add a photo. Simply upload a photo that you already have or take a picture and upload. Depending on your device, the picture may appear to be zoomed in very close and the crop feature won't work. Just submit the photo as is and we are able to crop the whole photo before printing.

9. If I play on multiple teams do I need to get a different ID Card for each team?

Your ID Card is your property and includes your player information and no team information. It can be used for multiple teams and clubs during both indoor and outdoor seasons. Just ensure that your ID Card is available for all games you will be playing in.
